Little Lion’s Den, a satirical sketch comedy show that resembles a shell-shocked, LSD-drenched, doomsday-prepper version of Pee Wee’s Playhouse is now streaming on Means TV.

The 6-episode post-ironic sketch comedy series features two main characters, Landon Lammagin and Little Diesel and evokes feelings of “a bad trip at a VFW hall” says co-creator Alex Ward who plays Lammagin.

Featuring a variety of inane segments, ominous life lessons and ridiculous guests, this surreal comedy series oscillates between a local cable-access style talk show and a high-concept freak show.

Filmed with outdated camcorders, this unsettling blue-collar comedy series strikes the perfect combination of surreal horror, gross-out comedy, and absurdist improv.

Ultimately, Little Lion’s Den trades more traditional linear storytelling for subtle but poignant reflections and satirical commentary on toxic masculinity, late-stage capitalism and people living on the edge of society in the age of misinformation.

Filmed in a garage in Cleveland, Ohio, the show is the brainchild of brothers Alex Ward and Nathan Ward.

“As members of the working class, we knew that corporate streaming services have financial interests that we don’t care about, and that we have creative interests that they don’t care about” said Nathan Ward, who plays Little Diesel and is an interstate truck driver by day.

“Means TV shares our values, and we know they’ll support our creative endeavors; this is probably the only place you’d ever be able to see Little Lions’ Den in its purest, most objectively bizarre form.”

Season 1 of Little Lion’s Den premiered globally on Means TV on December 28, 2020.

Season 2 of the show is already in production.
