Worker-owned, Means Interactive premieres new point and click adventure game

Worker-owned Means Interactive, the gaming division of Means TV, launches its second game ever today, Tux and Fanny.

After the break-out indie success of their first game release, Tonight We Riot, Means Interactive has been searching for a worthy follow-up.

The media cooperative struck an exclusive streaming and game publishing deal with the creators of Tux and Fanny, providing viewers with a permanent home for the film and video game, as well as the film’s sequel coming this winter.

The point and click adventure game is about two friends who want to play soccer, but discover their ball is deflated. This simple premise hides a complex and epic adventure.

The game has won a number of indie game awards such as Most Amazing Award at A MAZE 2022 as well as being nominated for the Nuovo Award at the 2022 Independent Games Festival.

Users can play a multitude of diverse mini-games which they’ll collect as you progress through your journey, each with their own unique rewards.

Tux and Fanny is available on Steam, Nintendo, GOG and Itch.IO

Released independently in 2021 by Albert Birney and Gab Koenig, Tux and Fanny struggled to find its market but now with the support of Means Interactive, is finding a whole new audience.

“Before I started working on Tux and Fanny, I was feeling completely burned out by the hustle of trying to survive as an indie. Making Tux and Fanny completely revived my love for the medium in a wholly organic way and recentered my focus on something fun and different,” said Gabriel Koenig, co-creator of the Tux and Fanny game.

“Teaming up with Means feels like such a perfect fit because I would hope anyone playing the game might also be inspired to re-evaluate their relationship with the world and the exploitative systems that surround us.”

Tux and Fanny follows Means Interactive’s first release in 2020, Tonight We Riot — a side-scrolling crowd-brawler about a workers revolution. Tux and Fanny gives players a chance to experience a world far away from consumerism and competition — serene, calming, and magical.

There are secrets hidden at every turn in the world of Tux and Fanny. Can you find them all?
