Holy shit! The Bread + Roses Fundraiser that began on March 21 and ended on June 1 was a wild ride.

We published 30+ videos, generated millions of views, raised more than $100,000 and forced Fox News to have a panel debating socialism vs capitalism.

Thousands of you -along with AOC, Mike Gravel, the AFLCIO and more- shared Means TV videos and sent us words of support and enthusiasm. From Teen Vogue, to The Intercept, to The Huffington Post, national media took notice too.

So, first we wanted to say thank you. If you gave a dollar, shared a video, or connected with us, we’ve been extremely humbled and energized by your excitement for Means TV.

Our original goal was to raise $500,000 to get the streaming service up and running by January 2020 and although we haven’t hit that yet, we are determined to have the streaming service live in early 2020.

The $100,000 we did raise allows us to begin building the platform and filming the first season of shows, albeit a bit scaled down. Getting these shows, movies, and videos ready for viewing is what we’ll be doing night and day for the rest of the year.

But we can’t just leave you with no content! We’ll be releasing videos and series all summer long including new episodes of our Let’s Play series Left Trigger every week, animated shows, children’s shows, and videos from Russia, Washington DC, LA, Kentucky, Ohio, and more.

Subscribe to our email list, follow us on Twitter, Youtube, Facebook and Instagram and please consider becoming a monthly donor to help keep us going until we launch in 2020.

We can’t do any of this without your support.

The tides are changing. Workers are demanding what we deserve and institutions are starting to to feel the pressure. Now is the time to create new structures that serve the many instead of the few.

This is our opportunity to build entertainment that reflects and empowers us.

The era of cultural gaslighting in film and television by Hollywood studios and monopolies can be over. Worker-owned media is here.

Means TV is an anti-capitalist, worker-owned streaming service that will have TV shows and movies including episodic TV shows, documentaries, stand-up comedy, drama, adult animation and more. Coming early 2020. Donate now.
